Privacy choices

Your controls

Cexi is designed to let you choose which optional data sources and network features you use. This page explains where to change each choice and what changes when you do.

We do not sell your data

Cexi does not sell personal information or use training and health data for advertising. The Privacy Policy describes the data required to operate the service and the processors involved.

Controls at a glance

Apple Health

Optional and revocable in iOS Settings. Without it, Cexi uses logged workouts and manual inputs.

Cloud sync

Account sync and backup require network access. Delete your account to remove account-scoped cloud data.

Coach and plan design

These features send relevant context over the network for inference. You can choose not to use them.

Notifications

Optional and controlled by iOS notification settings and Cexi's in-app notification settings.

Apple Health

Change access in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Cexi. You can revoke individual categories or all access. Apple controls the permission prompt and does not allow Cexi to determine every read-permission decision directly.

When access is revoked, Cexi stops requesting the affected readings. Previously synced account records are handled under the retention section of the Privacy Policy; revoke access alone is not the same as account deletion.

Cloud and AI

  • Cloud sync: sign-in and sync send the account and records needed to provide cross-device access.
  • Coach and workout design: sending a message or requesting a design sends the prompt and relevant recent context to the configured first-party AI service. Do not use these features for medical or highly sensitive information.
  • On-device intelligence: core training model calculations remain on the iPhone; network availability does not turn them into a medical service.

To stop network AI processing, do not use Coach or workout design. To remove synced account data, use account deletion. There is no advertising opt-out because Cexi does not use personal data for advertising.

Notifications and diagnostics

Manage notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications → Cexi and in the app's notification settings. Device and crash diagnostics are used to maintain reliability. If you need a data-rights request about diagnostics, contact privacy@cexi.app.

Export or delete

Use Settings → Privacy Settings → Privacy & Data to export available training data. The same sheet contains Delete Account, which permanently deletes the account after confirmation. See the full account deletion instructions.

If you cannot access the app, contact privacy@cexi.app. We may verify ownership before fulfilling a request.
